I usually pass up shooting cars with the hood up as it ruins the flowing line of the car. However, this Merc was special... note the use of the Mercury Outboard Engine cover here... that is KOOL!

btw... if you're showing your car and hope to have it printed in a magazine like the Goodguys Gazette or Street Rodder ... leave the hood down. Most photo editors reject hood up shots without a second glance.
