Wodehouse paintings was bought by Troy Mayne, for his 3 speed bicycle tour and tea brew-up at Lake Pepin. <br /> <br /> <a href="http://www.3speedtour.com/" rel="nofollow">www.3speedtour.com/</a><br /> <br /> His tea included a reading by Wodehouse, aka "Plum", with my painting as part of the table set-up. Among other things, they had sandwiches and cheese and Pimm's Cup. He sent me this photo, and I have to say it's even better than I'd imagined! Wow. <br /> <br /> There was a competition among the tea stops, and his tea won! Congrats to Troy, and thanks for being such an awesome customer!<br /> <br /> In other news, here is something I've been telling folks: I surely hope that some things change with this new flickr layout. It is so cumbersome and slow. I miss having my portfolio sets on the front page, as well as vintage family photos, which were an easy link for older relatives who should not have to wade three pages deep to find photos of their family. I kept these select sets on the first page for a reason! Grrr.<br /> <br /> But mostly, I am so saddened by what was revealed in the wake of the tornado activity in Oklahoma. Thinking of a family I once knew who moved there. I've completely lost touch with them, but they sprang to mind. Praying for all affected there. Also saying prayers for family in Kansas. We're wearing blue & yellow socks in honor of the Boston Marathon runners, so I'll slap some blue and yellow ribbons on my braids, too.<br /> <br /> Life is good. I've been walking (with small bursts of running) 3+ miles, just about every day this month, and when I'm not doing that, I've been busting my butt creating some new gardens and also do aqua aerobics. <br /> <br /> I am also happy because after long last, I've finally completely cleared my drafting table to start fresh with some new (non-easel) work! Spent the first part of the day with Allie, Dan and Bella...She had the prettiest pink dress with polka dots and white flowers on her headband, bare feet...lots of smiles and talking. She held out her little foot each time, after I kissed it, basically telling me to "keep it up, Aunt Amy"! Hee hee.<br /> <br /> Then we went to Hanover and watched Isaac at tennis practice. When I was pushing Blaine on the swings he asked "Amy, do you know why I like you?" And when I said "Why?" He said "Because you play wif me!" And without skipping a beat, he crowed, "Happy Mother's Day!" Said it of his own accord, no coaching. Awww..Way to melt my heart. <br /> <br /> These kids totally make it easier on me, when I've done some grieving over not being able to have my own children. I love being an auntie, like nobody's business.<br /> <br /> Back at Kathy and Zach's we had a carry out lasagna and salad dinner ...yum. Blaine told me about 4 times that he wanted to take me on a date. When I asked where we were going, he said "nowhere!" Haa. While I'm just fine with that, we might have to work on that one before he gets to high school.<br /> <br /> Gave my sister and Mom their paintings (will post those, and one I did for Allie, another time.)
