I just had to do a little bit of playing around in picnik again - I was happy to see that Getty have requested another 15 of my images...... now all that needs to happen is to sell a little more! Fingers crossed. Well I am on the road again but fortunately with wi-fi - very happy about that indeed! I have partially caught up with everyone and I am on my way to catch up with the rest of you. One more day left of 2011 - now I am going to have to find something for new year!!! mmmmm. Wishing everyone a very happy holiday.

Here is another image that wasnt so sharp which I decided to make a creation with my startrails. Another creative day. This is one of my images that got chosen for a book on the competition one life. I was pleased to know that at least one of my images was ok.....lol.

Another capture of my uphill dog walker - it really was such a lovely day and nearly all of the photos that I took this day turned out well.

See Pidgeons can be graceful too!! I think she looks lovely. Mind you all birds leave the feeder when this bully turns up. I would probably say she behaves like a queen!!

Well here I am, back online - I seem to be very busy now with my painting. It goes on and off. And as you can see this image is fairly old. I have also been playing around with the galaxy 2 plugins - which are such fun. Not every pictures suits but there is a lot you can do to enhance a so so image. I love the yellow hue that this particular plugin gives. I thank everyone for their great tips on my last image and I liked Mary's crop too...... but I left the flag in because it was british..... a splash of color and a taste of home I say!

Bexhill-on-sea beachfront - Galaxy 2 plugins

I probably cropped this wrong - not sure - I liked the peaceful look of those bike riders and the beautiful dome behind them - plus the lighting. I did a little work in galaxy 2 plugins (one of my favorites right now) and slid the clarity way left and as I did the light became more intense from the dome which I really liked.
Ok, I was off yesterday - still catching up and I will be visiting everyone in the next couple of hours.
Any tips? More than welcome - composition is always a struggle - so I am happy to have some wicked and interesting tips.

I already know the rules - that the top of the hill should not be bang smack in the middle - and I am breaking the golden rules here. BUT!!!! It's a big butt.....(oooops) I like the golden run up and that lovely grey sky. If I was painting this (not looking at the thumbnail) I would put a little less foreground in it. I have used the galaxy plugins on this - I love the minimalism of the capture and I really like the man with the dog.
Please accept my artist license on this - I know some people will give me hell.....lol.

So here is my upload today, experiment on the shelf till this evening when the sun goes down. Always totally fascinated by these wonderful creatures. Seems that they see the camera and start to pose.

Tomorrow I am trying out one of the Scott Kelby walkabouts, in Wiesbaden - it's a couple of hour or so in the afternoon. I am looking forward to meeting other photographers.

the long and winding road - canon 7D

Travelling back from the Mosel, the roads were wet and the sun was shining through dark clouds - I wish I could really convey how magnificent this looked - from the van window looking down on to the road it was an amazing view.
Hope everyone is going to have a great weekend - and go out and spend spend spend - or should we wait, maybe those prices come down...... ha ha. What awful news - really puts one off shopping doesnt it? I notice though that even though the financials look awful, and even though the price per barrel of gas (petrol for the brits) has gone down...... nothing has hit the tank stations - still the same price for super (Euro 1.58) for the last 3 months. Driving very slowly. Thank goodness diesel for the van is a good 20 cents cheaper! In america they still only pay half of what we in europe pay per litre!

Uploaded this today - purely because I like the cheeky pose. Lotsa lovely details too. Hope everyone is doing well - I have finished one of my paintings (I will upload tomorrow) a large zebra. I love painting such creatures - I get lost and hypnotized with all the lines.

So searching for places for the competition - we still need people to add more images - I found some more of one of my favorite places in holland that we visited on a 3 week tour. It was a very dull day so I put some of my favorite warm tones from galaxy plugin 2 - I love the effect of this plugin.

thank you to all of you who wrote such nice comments on my electric snail painting. Much appreciated. The last trip we went to Bad Kissingen, here is a view from our RV, wohnmobil, motorhome. Bad Kissingen, like it's name has a huge structure where one can experience thermal bathing. It really was a wonderful experience. As you can see the view was astounding too. If nothing else we are experiencing new sights and sounds. Today is extra special too, our new grandaughter was born today. Special hugs to my daughter and son-in-law. Choula you are an great auntie - again.

Runner north somerset

I must have shot a dozen or so of this runner. In the background is brean down, I used to live just over the hill there. Pontins Holiday camp was there - mum and dad had a photography shop too. Sister, brother and all helped out. Ahhhh good memories. Took a day off from everything flickr yesterday to do some painting..... which I desperately need to do somedays - my hands just see a brush and I have to work. Already ordered and got my cards from moo.com - super company excellent service and quality printing. Not advertising, just stating a fact.
We are having a difficult time getting new people for our competition we are running right now - called 'buy the book' I too am having a problem. Maybe this one..... the loneliness of the long distance runner.....lol.

Eeeeek I just realised a really old picture of mine was uploaded by accident. Please forgive everyone - that was an old old picture and not planned for today's upload. Yup, I am getting old.

When I took this goose it was raining - just before no sun and very dull weather - but I just loved the action on this one!
