I saw this lady carrying these pots of water from a small well to her house. The interesting part is that she did this about six to seven times and her house is close to 1 km from the well. I was in that area the whole day.

Nila Kurunji (Strobilanthes Kunthianus)
These flowers bloom only once, every 12 years. Their 12-year flowering cycle is still a very big mystery. The Nilgiri hills, which literally means the blue mountains, get its name from these purplish blue flowers which transforms the ghats into purple blue. They transform the green mountains into purple during the peak of their flowering. This happened last in 2006. But right now you can see them in Shanthanpara (about 36 kms from Munnar). They may last for another 2 weeks.
