A Glorious Dawn

A Glorious Dawn is the name of a song in The Symphony of Science, a musical project by John D Boswell which is designed to deliver scientific knowledge and philosophy in musical form. It is the most exciting album I've acquired for some time: not only does it feature many of my intellectual heroes - Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins, VS Ramachandran - I've been singing the songs to myself all week. They are best appreciated along with their videos, and projects such as this are the way to interest and educate children - or anyone - in science. It reminds me of why I love and have always loved science. That it can be downloaded for free from www.symphonyofscience.com/ is incredible, although I would encourage anyone who does so to make a voluntary contribution.
