some of my macro shots turned out really well. our back yard is crowded with these beautiful garden spiders. with legs, they measure about 2-1/2 to 3 inches in diameter. i accidentally broke this guys web and he's in the process of repairing the damage...

this beauty was captured on the beach in galveston, texas. i love the shy smile, missing baby teeth, and the right hand... the swimmer in the distance could have been photoshopped out, but i like the overall composition and natrualness of the shot.

because i was driving and the morning light wasn't too bright, the motion of the photographer was captured with a slow shutter speed... giving it the impressionist feel.

i saw this young man walking through the halls following his mom who was there to support big brother or sister at a fashion, textiles competition at texas state university. it took a while before i was able to find them again and ask permission to photograph him. he was so comfortable in his outfit...i'm guessing he dresses this way all the time. check the boots!

each day i leave for work, the pastoral scene calls to me to be captured. it makes me realize that each moment we're alive should be savored. the low, morning light gives the green grass and dark green oak leaves a tinge of blue.
