Water Boots

Nice pair of water boots there in the Gunpowder River. These rocks sitting there together in the river are fascinating I think. I took this vertical comp to get the tree reflection there below the boots. The late evening lighting is very nice too I think.

I do not think this eagle cares too much for the new way Flickr is working ... the photos are presented nicer, but it is much harder to see what is being said about the photo, and what EXIF data there is, and even where the map is for the photo being taken ... what were they thinking.

Goldencents will be in the two hole for the 138th Preakness Stakes against 8 other Thoroughbreads. This is the Middle Jewel of the Triple Crown, will we get a Triple Crown Winner this year or will Goldencents or one of the other Thoroughbreads knock off ORB.

Long exposure taken near sunset on a cloudy evening along the Gunpowder River in Maryland. These two odd shaped rocks really caught my eye there in the river. Needless to say I took "serveral" comps with them ;) Here is one that placed them in the overall scene there along teh river. They look like two feet, shoes, or really big toes ...

Maryland State Police Helicopter “Trooper 1” landing at the Community Family Fun Day at Downs Park on Saturday.

These helicopters are an awesome site to see. It is amazing how they can basically land anywhere. Can’t wait to see the new helicopters when they are placed in service.

Here is another comp taken that morning this past late winter in March along the Susquehanna River in Maryland. The bank of low gray clouds really set a mood that morning. I liked the green moss there along the rocky shore.

Here is view from similar location to the post made this morning that is along the Gunpowder River, but taken looking into the lights from the parking area for the Lodge along Route 1 and the river. I liked the lighting on the water, and thought the long exposure would reflect it nicely. In addition, from the magenta tones, the sun had set, and this was the lighting coming through the cloud deck down onto the scene.
