M240 Tests

Just a few quick and dirty smash-and-grab photos with the M240. So, after a few days (an no interesting photos), what do I think?

As an object, it's astonishing - a quantum leap on in quality from the M9. The shutter is near-silent (not quite X100, but close), and everything feels tighter, denser, more substantial.

But...

I'm not convinced about the image quality. Something seems to be missing from the files. They're not as sharp. There appears to be more noise. Shadow detail is less pliable. The colours, though more lifelike, have less silky smoothness; less pop.

I'm going to find a decent profile for Lightroom, and I'm going to test the M240 with Aperture as well (not even sure the file format is recognised). That's the next stop...

So... What do you think?
