A couple of inches of fresh snow help us drag the sled back to the Jeep after our four night stay at the cabin. The barking rarely stops.

Polarizing filter effects: using Sony FX1 – using photo examples over two days. May 10: Found these fish (I don’t know fish – so can’t tell what they are) in a local creek – was not expecting to find them there – They were a good size, estimate over a foot long and appeared to be ‘spawning’ -- didn’t have my filter with me that day; May 11: went back with hope of seeing the fish again – this time with the filter with me -- no fish but then used the filter to illustrate the value of such a filter for imaging under water situations. Enjoy. (Will put up the fish clip later)

First real rain for a week or so, this soaked marten arrive early for a feed.
The reason it left half way through was because a Badger walked passed the bottom of the ladder!

Prong Horned Antelope Buck crossed the highway and went to find Doe’s that had crossed earlier; he quickly settled down after finding them just over the rise – started feeding and moving over to them. The group was vigilant at all times although not readily evident and for the most part ignored vehicle traffic that was moving by – they were interested in our vehicle as it was stationary – one vehicle however did cause a brief startling reaction and then they went back to feeding; to show it I had to use slow motion.

Prong Horned Antelope, Oyen , Alberta area; May 2 and3, 2013 two encounters – first a lone male feeding in an open field May 2 found in route to Oyen; second a male, May 3, that had a harem of four females – this sequence of him shows some of his behavior after the females had crossed the secondary highway – I have shown some of the approach to the fence and his crawling under the fence in slow motion. I will show their union and activity in a subsequent clip.

Badger, Red Deer and Pine Marten

Gardening is on hold at the moment, last night again we had Red Deer in the garden.
Pine Marten are great, Badgers are fine as we do not have a lawn, but Red Deer are too much, they eat everything!
