It's been almost a year since I've posted a photo to Flickr. I haven't taken a lot of photos besides the ones of my kids or the random trips we take aside from what I shoot for clients. Life got busy, taking photos wasn't something I enjoyed... starting to have some desire again, who knows where it goes from here.

... I wonder if anyone even does Flickr anymore or if everyone has headed to 500 pixels, etc.

Stacked lenses for macro, failed?

I was told that if I stack two lenses together, I would be able to get much closer to the subject for better macro photographs.

Unfortunately I believe I used too much force as it sounded like glass breaking inside and suddenly the EF 17-40 f/4L IF USM was stuck inside the EF 24-105 f/4L IS USM.

When I try using them on the 5D Mark II all I get is a black viewfinder, and camera reports Error 99.
AF does no longer seem to be working either.

Does anyone know how I can solve this or do I need to send the lenses to Canon for repair?
Sadly it rattle a lot inside when shaking them, I hope it's not too bad.

Yes it was April Fools' Day.
No photoshopping done on the lenses thought, however the EF 24-105 f/4L is actually a coffee cup.

Canon 5D Mark II with Samyang 35 mm f/1.4 AS UMC.
Yongnuo YN-560 II, YN-560.
Yongnuo RF-603C Radio Triggers.
"Product-tent" with translucent walls to shoot flash through.
Semi-transparent white plastic at bottom for small reflection/softer shadow.

Shot info
Setting: 35 mm at f/16, 1/160 s, ISO 100.
Key light: Flash about 40 cm away at 50° right.
Fill light: Flash about 40 cm away at 140° left.

Post Shot Manipulation
Background brightened to 100% white.

The worst of the worst!!! CANON has yet to figure out how to work with full frame sensors. This camera lacks the sharp images, still maintains the rapid fire as no other camera seen on earth but the images are too soft and in a sequence some are not even in tack sharp focus. Not good for concert photography has it still cannot focus under dim light... although the camera says it's in focus the images are too soft and with no detail (This been happening for quite sometime in Canon Generation since the 1DMarkIII flop). It suffers the same problem has the 5D MarkIII and from what I've seen in Canon official page the 6D has the same problem. Images are Soft, Soft, Soft.

CANON, it's not ALL about the high ISO please give us a camera that can focus correctly on all the images and not on just some of the images. You gave us 14fps but only 2/3 of those 14 are very good, sharped and clean images right out of the camera the rest are soft and I'm not talking about micro adjustments here!!!

Why aren't reviews talking about this (soft issue of Canon images) and only mentioning on high ISO to fill Canon with lot's of good promises? Are people taking all their images at high ISO from now on?

Canon when will you give us a decent photo camera instead of an hybrid photo/video camera?

And man this is a 6.000€ TOP of the line camera we are talking about!!!
