I tried to be as precise as I could with the details that consider mechanics and the driveshaft.

LEGO version of the Liebherr R 9800 hydraulic excavator
Scale approx 1:50
Weight 2400g + 500g counterweight

Fully functional / powered and remote controlled:
1 XL PF motor for each track
1 M PF motor for slewing
2 M PF motor for moving the boom
1 M PF motor for moving the stick
1 M PF motor for moving the bucket

Non Lego parts:
2 axial roller bearings are used in the turntable as I have yet to find a compact turntable design which can transfer bending moment without requiring a large force to rotate.

Modified parts:
Ends of the lift arms connecting 2 linear actuators to superstructure grinded to 2x plate thickness

I rebuilt the tractor I got for my 12th birthday, almost 33 years ago. I missed only two bits; the most prominent one being the wheel inside the big tyre on the left side (cleverly hidden in this picture). If someone has it and can miss it, please contact me. It's the wheel that fits inside the 24x43 tyre.

Crawler base powered by 2 XL PF motors. The axial roller bearing enables a large bending moment to be transferred through the turntable while keeping the force required for slewing low.
