We took two of our granddaughters to The Alligator Farm in St. Augustine this weekend and just as we arrived this huge gator decided to yawn... at least I think that's what it was. This is the closest I ever want to get to the inside of an alligator's mouth !

The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is one of Florida's oldest continuously running attractions, having opened on May 20, 1893. As of 2012, this is the only place where you can see every species of alligator, crocodile, caiman, and gharial. Over the years the zoo has expanded to include exotic monkeys and birds as well as other reptiles. The back section of the park contains a large bird rookery, where free-roaming local birds species such as egrets, herons, wood storks and roseate spoonbills nest and rear their young.

A.H. Stephens Historic Park is a 1,177 acres Georgia state park located in Crawfordville. The park is named for Alexander Hamilton Stephens, the Vice President of the Confederate States of America, and a former Georgia governor. The park contains Stephens' home, Liberty Hall, which has been fully restored to its original 1875 style.

Drawing In The Wood!

At the "Miller Farms Estates" in Murray, Utah is this painting of a steer roaping event that was drawn into the wood. This wood is located in the leasing office of this apartment complex. The leasing office itself is the old farm house of the Miller Family and for many years was a working farm in Murray, Utah.

The old farm office is over 100 years old and this wood came from Sweden. Whoever sent the wood over to Utah to make the farm house drew pictures into the wood before shipping it. This picture is not carved into the wood but rather is painted into the wood. It has lasted for well over 100 years and still looks fresh today. This painting is on the side wall of the farm house.
