I just got my composer two months ago. I don't think I've been so in love with a lens and optics, ever!

I'm taking a lensbaby course, and the instructor is terrific! Her photos are beyond good. A really good source of inspiration, as well as great critiques, to help you get some really great shots! And skills to build, so you can use your lensbaby to the maximum.

Check out www.ppsop.com, Lensbaby Magic! The transformation of where I was two months ago is very rewarding. Still so much to learn.

Hope you enjoy your lens as much as I do!

The F stops are the disks that come with the lensbaby composer. With F/22 giving you the most of your shot, with very little bend. Leaving it open or using the F/2.8 - F/5 is harder to get that sweet spot. I recommend that you find that sweet spot, then bend to where you want the blur. You could get the Sweet 35 or their other new one, the name escapes me at the moment, those have dialled F Stop optics. I figure I should learn what each F stop gives you, before doing it dialled.

ENJOY!

concl. It's outdoor lens.
Weddings etc be careful. very difficult to focus in room in doors. Nikon D90 gives a good view but not with lensbaby a5,6....

This was a wrong use Lensbaby but gives you an idea.

Did test pictures Lensbaby Composer vs. old Nikon Nikkor 35-70.
Direct flash Metz with sync cable - you must use flash shoe and cable with Nikon D90. TTL or manual mode does not work

Lensbaby is very difficult to focus in room.
It colors pictures mud-blue

Just got a lensbaby composer for my birthday, after longing for one for way too long.
Using it on a Canon 7d which seems fine, though trying to find the focus spot when its tilted is something else.Seem to be using it on flowers at the moment as they stay still (unlike the kids!!)
Seem's to be a high standard of shots on here,be prepared for me to bring that down. ;-))

Hello, how is everyone ? The weather couldn't be nicer for camera play!!
Just got my lensbaby composer F and using it on Nikon D90.
I of course have to use it in M mode since it won't allow me to use it in any other mode what so ever! It's fine by me though because it's gotten me to use only M with my other lenses as well. It's a real good opportunity to get to know what all the settings do on my camera :)
It just doesn't allow me to change the F stop with the Lensbaby attatched.. not sure why?? anyone???

The availability of this converter pushed me over the edge for buying a Lensbaby Composer Pro for the micro four thirds system in the first place - with a crop factor of 2, 0.42 suddenly becomes 0.84 only, so the Lensbaby changes from short tele to normal :D

Looking forward to testing this combo!
