Bumping an old topic because I finally remembered the name of that app on my old iPhone with the cool retro Hong Kong and Summer of 69 filters- PhotoBox!

I found it in my iTunes library and eagerly installed Photobox- which does not run on my iPhone 4S now...sniff.

I guess nothin' can last forever, forever, no...

I just bought a used iPhone 3 with OS 3.xx and am just using it as a polarize-ing camera. The app works great. I shoot with it or use an image shot with gorillacam. I began using SX-70 about 35 or 40 years ago, and recaptured the joy and fascination of the format when the Polarize app came out. Never would have upgraded my OS if I had know it would not work. Getting an old iPhone was the best solution.

For anyone who wants to downgrade ... I just downgraded my 3GS from 5.1 to 4.1.2 following this guide: www.ijailbreak.com/how-to/downgrade-ios-5-1-to-ios-4-3-5-... however at the end when you get a 10xx error trying to kick out of DFU mode with TinyUmbrella wont cut it. Instead as written in TinyUmbrella put your phone back into DFU mode (after trying to kick it out of DFU) and then use the Fix Recovery button. After that my phone was successfully restored to iOS 4.1.2. I still had to authorize it with iTunes after it by simply connecting the phone to iTunes.

Too bad it no longer works...but I found a substitute.

Check out 'Retro Camera'. It has a Polaroid simulator called xolaroid. It's free, gives similar results to polarize but you can't transform existing photos nor write notes on the bottom lip. I've read all the posts above and I just can't understand why the original dev don't just sell the code and rights onto someone else who is willing to pay to see the app flourish again.

I haven't had this app working properly, since iOS 4/iPhone 4. Is it just me? I can open the app, choose a photo from my Camera Roll or take a photo, but when it's time to 'polarize', nothing. I am returned to the Menu/home screen of the app (where you choose library, take a photo or community). I love this app, & there are no others that give such great results. I'd like to be able to use it!! Please help
