Golden Gate Views

The Golden Gate Bridge may be the most photographed public site on earth... that's what they say anyway, whoever they are. :)

Show us your views of the Golden Gate - the usual ones are fine, but new angles are always welcome too!

Thanks - Judy Watt

I accidentally dropped my Lee 10-stop ND filter (in the original Lee bag) in Slacker Hill when I shoot the foggy bridge around 4/2/13, and could not locate it when I went back a couple days later.

If you are happened to know something about it, would be appreciated if you can drop me a line here. Thank you very much!!!

hi

im new to flickr and new to this group..... We did a tour in May this year of California and it was starting in San Francisco travelling south at different destinations way down to San Diego and back to LA before coming home. We fell in love with San Francisco! The golden gate is something out of this world! We flew over it on our plane initially and you really cannot appreciate how big it is from above.. We actually cycled over the Golden Gate and it was a great opportunity to take photos... I love taking photos and amongst variety photos I do like to take, I must say the Golden Gate are in my top 5 favourits!! Anyway - shared onto your group of photos.. Open to any comments or tips to improve.. Cannot wait to return to San Fran!!

I read the title and thought you meant the Golden Gate instead of the Golden Gate Bridge. Some of the pictures I posted were of the area that makes up the Golden Gate (the strait) instead of the Golden Gate Bridge itself. The strait, between the Marin and San Francisco Peninsulas is the area from which the Golden Gate derives its name.

judywatt posted a new topic:

I know there's another group for GGB pics, but I started this one anyway, just for the fun of it. I live near the bridge in SF, and I see the brdige constantly, and I have been taking pics of it all the time since I got my first digital camera in 1999. So I have hundreds, maybe thousands of GGB pics!

I've lived in SF since 1970,so the brdige has always been just part of my neighborhood, all my adult life anyway. It's many things to many people, but the sight of it always just says "home" to me.
