Hi All,

My name is Drew and I am from America, which is in the United States. I live in southern California and work as an aircraft maintenance manager, and frequently travel to Japan for work and vacation. My wife is from Ogikubo, and so we try to visit at least once a year.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone contributes, has contributed.

I spent a month in Japan between December 7th 2012 and January 3rd working on a Welsh Arts International -funded project. I had a base in Kyoto but was fortunate enough to visit Okayama, Tokyo and Naoshima. [I had been fortunate enough to visit Hiroshima and Nara in May 2009]. I have returned with a wealth of happy memories and many images to share here on this site.

The 3.11 earthquake in Japan is the biggest one through this 150 years. The North-East area of Japan have been damaged very seriously by the earthquake and tsunami. Still we can not know the full view of them.
Around Tokyo, mobile-phone, fixed phone, internet and traffics and electric, gas, water etc are all works well now.
But the atomic power plants Fukushima 1&2 are in critical condition. These plants supply much electric power to Tokyo and around, so their trouble must have a great affect on the everyday life.
I hope our group members in Japan keep well.
