disposable memory project

we're leaving disposable cameras around the world.

each one is inside a plastic bag along with a few instructions, and a link to this page. you can read the instructions here. once the camera is found, hopefully its new owner will take a number of images, and then either send the camera back to us for developing, or leave it out to be found by the next person. once we have the cameras back, we will process the images and upload them.

we hope the cameras will capture their journey from person to person, place to place.

we also think that digital isn't always best. sometimes taking longer to do something gives us a warm and fuzzy feeling. taking part in this project, which may take years to complete, will hopefully give you that feeling too.

Hey

I've done a few camera drops for the DMP and just picked random locations or very specific location eg at screenmedia. I was wondering if anyone had thought about dropping cameras at locations that were already being used for internet projects?

I only heard about this project the other day but it looks like it's really popular. It's called geocaching (geocaching.com) i was wondering if it would be worth dropping some cameras at geocache locations to grow support and users?

Anyway give me a bit of feed back i've never done any geocaching but i'd be willing to give it a go all in the name of science of course ;-)
