Thanks, Rafa. The 35mm is just enough heavier than the 28mm that makes me choose the 28mm when I'll be shlepping the camera around my neck all day.

I just returned from a trip to Cuba and used only the 28mm on my M8 and was happy with my decision. I took along my little Canon s95 for videos and rare times I wanted autofocus, macro, or telephoto.

This just happened to me today. Will check the warranty but wondering if it's easy enough to fix myself. I'd rather not do without the lens if I can DIY it. Any references or tips is appreciated.

you can do that with the 28mm too, there is not much distortion in this leica glass. It just becomes a more environmental portrait..I like that..its a question of taste.

Travel with one lens for fullframe (M7 or M9)?...... 35mm.

With 35mm you can shot portrait as well
