Motorcycle Art

The Creative Side of Motorcycle Photography

Welcome, I hope that together we can focus on the art that comes busting out of our favorite rides. Rather than posting the shots everyone has of their bikes we're looking for the unique. You know the kind of stuff you'd put on your wall.

Of course the photos don't even have to include a cycle. For example that twisty road that runs through a grove of trees and every time you drive it in your cage you wish you were on your bike... that twisty road would be the perfect subject for some photography.

So all you have to do is understand this mission and post away.

Let the rubber meet the road.

bikepainter1 posted a new topic:

Hi everyone, Unfortunatly I no longer own a bike apart from the peddle type as Arthritis stops me from doing it for the fun of it. So I paint bikes instead but in painting fashion, pictures, I do commisions and just stuff I like. when I get put on stronger drugs well you will see from the paintings which they were. some a bit abstractish. Mainly I like the older British bikes. My favorit is the B S A rocket gold star, what a bike so yes there is a picture of one. If you want one doing get in touch. Some have said when I give them my card "why would I want a picture of one that I own. Well to that I say " why put your kids pictures on the wall" answer- cos we love em. I started doing bike paintings because I could not find any of my photo's of the bikes I've owened, they all just got lost, it's hard to loose a painting, but nice to see it on your wall. I try to put as much detail into my pictures as poss, not one of those that paint a bike as if it is 200 yards away, up close is the way I like em. Well I've stuck my foot out so let me know what you think of em. Cheers.

I do not have a motorcylce, however, I have a bird, I call Edgar, that is in my living room. He was created from motorcylce pieces and chain recovered from a land fill. His "mother" is a biker person and I purchased this item from him.
I am new to this medium and don't want to err in posting and be "flogged to death!"

Hi!

Another newbie to the group here. I've been riding motorcycles since 1993 (first some Japanese stuff, but nowadays completely hooked on my '07 Triumph Bonneville), and the combination motorcycle / photography is a road I've just begun to explore.
