The only reason I joined was to share a photo I took on Bicentennial Day (1976) of the World Trade Center towers seen from Brooklyn. I was attracted by the sight of a wild sunflower. So much so, that I removed the black and white roll from my camera and put a color fim instead (at the time, I did B&W only). The photo is titled "In loving memory of the Towers" and I still find the sunflower striking. I believe this is a good photo, but no one in this group showed any sign of interest... That means I am definitely in the wrong group! I only took this sunflower photo and I am more interested in people than flowers...

The pictures I took were all in the UK, but the field I found had just a 12 foot deep semi-hedge area of them - so there were no panorama shots available.

They are all but over now, I just checked! (took a few more shots though!)

Hopefully members will post locations on their pictures to help the rest of us, who also appreciate these flowers & food/oil providers!

(I also recently joined the group)

Otherwise what is the point of the group, and how will it grow?

Sorry, just joined the group and it is too late for this year... but I travel widely in Romania and Moldova and there are beautiful sunflower fields in these countries - I think also Bulgaria and probably Hungary too. The best time to see them is June/early July.

Hello,

I'm new to this group, so aplogies if I am covering a topic done to death before!

I wondered if other sunflower lovers would share their locations where they found their fields of inspiration.

I am personally UK based - so perhaps we have less chances than others in sunnier climes!

This could be by updating the location of where the picture is taken on the image, or by a comment - or even a sat-nav location perhaps?!

I'm sure this would benefit others in this group who are similarly minded and would LOVE TO KNOW a good location for these fantastic flowers!

Especially as they are with us for a fleeting time.

I don't think it would be asking too much....?

I have updated my pictures, I hope some of you agree with my thoughts.

We need inspiration!
