Hello, Steve, this is because you can post from an invitation only, simply click on the "OK, add it" button next to your invitation. This is the only way a photo can be posted since we have disabled the posting to keep out uninvited photos.

HI, ive recently joined this group and when i tried to add a photo to the group it said i have reached the limit for this group....but i haven't posted any pics to the group yet??

Before the Platinum Group was formed, we had many images that received 10 or more awards, so I know that this is not too high a goal for the quality of work in our pool.

However, since forming the group, very few additional photographs have trickled in. That indicates to me that some members are no longer awarding as they have in the past. Our guideline has ALWAYS been to post 1 photo and award 4 others. This applies to EACH image you post. Since we are an admin invite group, you aren't limited to the number of posts per day as long as they qualify. Please understand that if you post 2 images, you must award 8. If you post 3, you must award 12.

Since our Platinum Group is new (and small so far), I am going to lower the number of awards necessary to qualify for the group to EIGHT and see how that works. There will also be a 6-7 thread. If I still see that images are not advancing, I may need to go back to a sweep. I DON"T want to do that because I want your experience with these 3 groups to be fun and enjoyable. I do want you to know, however, that if you aren't awarding your fellow photographers, I personally feel that is a sign of selfishness as well as a disrespectful attitude toward their work.

I know the majority of you play by the rules. You've been loyal since the founding of our original group and have supported me through lots of changes during the past years; you have shown infinite patience when I haven't always been on the ball. I appreciate that very much, because without you there would be no group.

PLEASE NOTE: This amended award requirement is NOT retroactive. It is in effect from Monday, July 23, 2012 onward

We now have a new group where all the wonderful photos that have received 8 or more awards can be seen and admired. It is the World Nature and Wildlife Platinum Group.

Please post your qualifying image here. Remember, you must be a member of this group to post your image and the image must currently be in our pool; otherwise, the images will be removed. You will receive this invitation to our new group:
