The madness had fully engulfed me by the time I made it to the Civic Center plaza, where fans had found perches atop every climbable structure, tower or tree. The wall of people facing City Hall was at least 20,000 deep and densely packed to the point where I dared not try to squeeze in lest I never get out. Even my spot way in the back was still full of motion, people and excitement. Flags were waved, air horns and Vuvuzelas tried in vain to drown out the sound of cheering and players were introduced to a whirlwind of spinning orange towels in the hands of fans.

We have a limited number of tickets to the game for you!

If you are interested in attending, please send me a flickrmail. :)

We can only provide 1 ticket per request.

You'd need to be able to meet up with us around 10:30 am this Saturday at AT&T Park to pick up the ticket (we're in a lower box section) and then we're having a photo opportunity with the team (that would be the Flickr team and the Giants!) on the field in our own VIP section at 11am. The games starts around 1pm!

I'll be back to post when we've exhausted our ticket supply (first come first served), but we look forward to seeing you! :-D

Photographers benefit from that approach when you buy (micro)-stock photos. Given the huge volume of new photos and the small resolution you would need, these photos are often sold for less than a $1 You buy bulk you likely get an even better deal.

But to be clear -- flickr is not a microstock site.

we charge a platform fee to the venue - they put whatever content in it they want including customer content that customers add via their mobile phones. There are no ads, just content. they might have keywords they're interested in like martini. I thought it would fun to reach out to great photographers who might have great martini shot that people in the bar would enjoy. Does it help the bar of course. does it help us of course. we're able to add some variety to their content mix. does it help photographers? I don't know. I would think so. Your work on a TV in a busy bar.

This probably won't happen given very defensive comments like yours. it's not worth the trouble quite honestly.
