Yes, it is still there. I took pictures of it in July of 2010. I have some on my photostream in the set on covered bridges in Indiana. I also just added this picture to the group.

At one time there was a covered bridge in Darlington, Indiana. Does anyone know if it is still there? I was going to make a trip over to photograph it and wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting the gas money.

We are coming up on our first meeting of the season Sept. 7 - at 7pm at the Century Center. We meet in the classroom at the top of the stairs and elevator on the north side of the building on the St Joseph street side. September subject matter is - flowers. our meetings are open to the public - FREE OF CHARGE.
im sending this out like this - not to insult the members that know whats going on but i have a couple of people on the email list that were not there last year and just trying to cover my bases.
i will not be at the first meeting - i will be on vacation out east i will catch the second meeting of the month. see you all then

it will be at 7pm at the century center - second floor - st joseph street side - by the walkway over the road - on the 6th of oct - you do not need to be a member to attend and observe - only need to be a member to compete

thanks to those that were there.
to those that were not we kicked around some good ideas about posible shoots to do. if you were not 1 of the ones there - there was a recomendation to get people together for various things - one was a shoot during the sandhill crane migration with St Patricks Park, another was a shoot when the ice is in the lake then combine that with hitting a couple of breweries and or wineries to get warmed up after. there were several suggestions so keep your eyes peeled here and let me know of your interest - obviously we will have some cost involved - the more people the more minmal the cost. so if you are interested - my email is joerowles@yahoo.com. and keep watching here as the group works out details we will advise - also the michiana camera club will be meeting Oct 06th - i will do a seperate post. thanks

Our first meeting of the season will be on September 1st as usual at 7:00 PM at the Century Center upstairs. The subject of the competition wil be "Close-Ups" and the judge will be Eric from Light House Imaging.

For your information the subject of our instructual meeting in September will be "How to control outdoor lighting" with Richard Feingold.
It will be in form of a field trip more than likely on Saturday the 12th with a rain date on Sunady the 13th. Meeting time is open as of now. Look for an e-mail announcing it when we get closer to the dates

im going to propose a little get together - lets think about being outside the box - this would primarily be for people up and around south bend but hey if your intested - let me know - my suggestion is to combine 2 things - one a photo jaunt - and then maybe adding a micro brewy to it. we can go to michigan city - sturgis - or even ft wayne - i would suggest we target late august or sometime in sept - for that matter we can use the wineries around here also - i can usually get a 9 passenger vehicle - but we have 2 problems - 1 - we need a driver - because i plan on drinking - and 2 what woulod we combine to make it interesting - michigan city - the dunes and then the shorline would be good - st joe the beach then the livery and or some wineries would be good - ft wayne - the city archetecture - the zoo - the botanical gardens - even the churches - then the brewry there - - there is 2 - anyway im open for suggestions - this could be a good thing - i dont mind being the organizor for now, if we get more that 8 or 9 i can possibly get us a deal on a bus or limo - but that is for another time - we would need at least 12 - 15 for that. kick it around and let me know the interest. - email is best - joerowles@yahoo.com and i will keep the groups informed

Moscow Covered Bridge Destroyed

I have just posted my photos of the Moscow bridge to the pool, but I also have to report that the bridge was totally destroyed Tuesday evening by a tornado.
