Hi!

Just wondering why the pool is not being moderated for content that does not belong here. Getting kinda tired of seeing very obvious things that do not belong.

Hopefully someone will see this and boot the poster and photos. The person obviously joined just to get hits on his photos.

Thanks!

I'm sure you've all seen this awesome little camera by now. I created a website dedicated to it and wanted some feedback! The website is

www.knappagraphy.com

and you can register, upload pictures, comment etc. But also, with any luck I'm hoping that with enough influence we can get Ikea to release this camera to the public! So if you could take a few seconds to sign up and fill out your profile it would be greatly appreciated. Who knows, we may even be able to get a few of them to giveaway!

My sister, nephew and I were taking photos in the Naperville IL Ikea, and the worker told us we were having way too much fun, but that was it.
I think with cell phones now a days, not much they could do about it. Same in Casinos, they don't try and stop it .

Who wants to take pics of that junk anyway?

Some Ikea stores are not owned by Ikea - for example the store by me is owned by others then Ikea - there is a sign that says it in the front. Maybe the photo taking rule varies from franchise to franchise.

Today, seven members of my photography group went to the Atlanta Ikea store and spent 2 hours taking pictures of anything and everything. We contacted the store beforehand and were told that photographers were welcome. We were even allowed to use tripods. We were never watched suspiciously and were certainly not asked to leave. Very friendly staff.

I went to Ikea Edmonton, London and I was watched very suspiciously whilst I took my photos of all there crap. I think that I wasn't allowed but the staff couldn't care enough to tell me off. When I left the store HOWEVER I was fiercely followed off the premises by security staff through the car park. When I tried to take a photo outside of the building of the Union Jack (yes very patriotic me) security waved me away at the window and a security guard that passed me told me that I couldn't take photos outside the building. Tip: Don't take photos in Ikea

IKEA like all companies today are concerned with privacy regarding marketing. etc.....I am sure if you are coming in with family and friends and take a few quick snapshots of your day at IKEA....NO BIGGIE. But, come into the store with a couple a thousand in photo equipment and they are going to start asking questions. I work in the bloomington, mn store and that is what we were told during our training.
