Helo all!
My day was brightened by the release of photos from the Andean Bear cubs meet-the-press day.
There is a post about them here:

They go on display to the public this Saturday. As soon as I get a chance I'll see if i can get some more photos for the pool.

Hello Group,

Ucumari has suggested I post my video that details the condition one of my San Francisco Zoo Bear friends lives in. For almost a year now I have been on a crusade for the Zoo to add some grass to his home and they refuse. They say he doesn't need it or want it. I just don' think its right. I am not on a crusade to have him moved as the alternative, just given a small patch of grass and some respect, esp as a senior animal. He has existing back issues that I have become recently aware of and to me this makes my crusade even more driven.

She's doing an important job by recording the genealogies of the bears in European zoos, as well as tracking what becomes of them. Otherwise bears can appear and disappear, and it's uncertain what their lineage or history is. Awareness created by this website forces public and private zoos to be responsible toward their animals.

I went to see Siku yesterday.

I haven't seen him with this ball in a while

then on to the smaller ball

He wanted behind this door.

the water was off when I first got there

they got their treat buckets

Must be well over 300 lbs by now
