There is a new group in the Oxford/Anniston/Jacksonville area that has grown out of the original Alabama Shutterbugs group. We are still using the AS name on Facebook and the group seems to be growing and active. The group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 at the Peerless in Anniston. If you are in this group on Flickr but not in the Facebook AS group, feel free to join us on Facebook and at the next meeting at the Peeless on Feb 12.

Cookout/Organizational Meeting

We are attempting to form a photo group in the Oxford/Anniston/Jacksonville area. We are having a cookout/organizational meeting on Monday, October 8, at our house in Jacksonville. We will plan to eat around 6:30 but feel free to come earlier if you wish. Betty and I are going to provide the burgers and brats and are asking attendees to bring side dishes, buns, paper plates, etc. Everyone needs to bring what they want to drink, too.

We are using Facebook for most of our communications. If you are on Facebook and are not a member of the Alabama Shutterbugs group, you can request to be added. If you are not on Facebook, let me know and I can keep you updated on Flickr or via e-mail.

For the time being we are using the Alabama Shutterbugs sites right now until we get organized.

The time for the Meet & Greet & Shoot has been changed to 1:00 p.m. from what I understand. This is to accomodate the group coming over from the Birmingham area. Anyone planning to attend this outing needs to let Heidi know so she can plan.
