...there will be a couple of photowalks/ Photo shoot outs in San Francisco coming soon.

The fist one will be on Sunday August 22nd in Dolores Park (18th Street and Dolores Street, San Francisco, California) and it's organized by Flickr's Invisible Cirkus. It will start at 3 PM.

The Second one is a Nighttime Photowalk and this one looks more interesting. It will go around Coit Tower and will end up in the long pier around Fort Mason. This one is organized by Flickr's trevorscottcarpenter.

The meeting spot will be at the Fog City Dinner (1300 Battery Street, San Francisco, CA‎) at 7 PM on Sunday September 12th. Make sure you bring your tripod!

Why am I posting stuff from outside Modesto? well, it seems that this group is pretty much dead with the exception of a couple of people. There hasn't been a Photowalk or Photo Shoot-out in years! Let's get organized and start something, at least there's these couple of shooting opportunities coming our way, also, San Francisco is not really that far, it's not like going all the way to LA for example.

Hope to see any of you guys/girls there. This should be fun!

Studio space

Hello all,

I am looking for a studio or space that could be used for a temporary studio for September 5th. I have lighting gear, so a large empty room that keeps out the light would work.

Anybody point me in the right direction?

I have heard of "reasonable expectation of privacy" such as dressing rooms, bathrooms, and other like places. If there is such an expectation you can't shoot photos.

Shooting photos from the street of people in their homes? That's asking for trouble and may get you an ass whoopin' to boot.

Try shooting photos of children at school while standing on the sidewalk and see how fast the police show up.
(depending on where Dad is this may also involve an ass whoopin')

Use commen sense, have some morals, and know right from wrong.
