Hi all!

I'm a Wikipedian enthusiast from Wales, one of the old Celtic countries on the island of Britain.

Our national instruments are the harp and the crwth. Take a look at the Wikipedian article on the crwth for more information. There are only 4 surviving instruments: two in museums in Wales, one just across the border on the Wirral, England and the fourth is in.... the Museum of Fine Art, Boston!

I need your help, please! Three of the four museums have agreed that their hidden jewels should be shared with the rest of humanity! Wikimedia, of course, is a charity and does not make any profit from this in any way! All three images of the crwth are to be found on the Welsh Wicipedia here:

and I'm sure they'll be included in many of the other 280 languages in the next few weeks, all with links back to the Museum's site, address etc.

The Museum of Fine Arts have published an image of their crwth here: www.mfa.org/collections/object/fiddle-crwth-50242 but will not allow this image to be shared through a Creative Commons license, enabling everyone through the world to access it on Wikipedia.

Is this just a one off, or do most people in Boston have a "Hands off!" attitude? I have never come across a museum who don't believe in sharing, in opening the access to such jewels, and I'm really at a loss. So far, Sue Bell (Museum of Fine Art, mfaimages@mfa.org) can't give me the reason for their policy, but I'm sure that the Museum has excellent reasons. Please help me so that all 4 members of the family are back together on one article.

I second Sanford. I live in Salem and have yet to find any camera store of quality on the North Shore to buy film let alone get something repaired. I've taken a few cameras to Sanford and he's the real deal.

Hey guys, been a member for a while, thought you might know a place to get a CLA for a lens or two! Preferably north of Boston (I live near the NH border). Last time I got a couple CLA's it was ~$70/lens. Wasn't sure at the time if it was expensive or not, but they needed it :-)
