Salvo (aka Legend of Southend) posted a new topic:

Hi there,

As a Full-Time Professional Clown myself I always think a named clown photo is better for we all have a unique face which is registered on an egg as a kind of trade mark many of which can be now be seen at an excellent Clowns Museum / Exhibition at Wookey Hole, Somerset, BA5 1BB England.

For further information you might contact them direct on the following link www.wookey.co.uk/welcome.htm or either Matthew Faint one of the Clown Museum directors on 0870 128 4336 (office hours only) or failing that even myself. Yet another four sources of information on clowns is The Annual Clowns Directory www.annualclownsdirectory.com , Clowns International www.clowns-international.co.uk, Clowns of America International www.coai.org, and The World Clown Association www.worldclown.com/

I therefore thought a group of this type would be an extension to the above information and would encourage YOU to find out as much information about the Clown you're kindly taking the time to capture for others to enjoy.

Yours in Service,
A useful person to know!

Salvo (aka Legend of Southend) posted a new topic:

Hi there everyone,

My name is Salvo The Clown plus thanks to Face Book and Ben Hamlet in particular I am also known as Salvo The Clown - Southend legend!

However, I have been a full time professional clown since September 1968, I am also the Founder, Complier, and Publisher of The Annual Clowns Directory. I personally would like to offer my services to your group as I feel sure I could possibly help identify a photo or two of Clowns* you may have on file, especially if they are U.K. based, that you don't know but I may! It may be worth while giving my team and I a try you've certainly got nothing to lose have you!?

Unfortunately oversea clowns may prove to be a little harder but as a long term member of Clowns International, www.clowns-international.co.uk, I personally may still be able to help.

Incidentally the Annual Clowns Directory website, i.e. www.annualclownsdirectory.com, is a fully interactive site but hey, don't take my word for it, take a look for yourself!

However, please feel free to visit either site as I feel sure you will be surprised by what you'll be able to find.

Take care and most of all keep em smiling!

Yours in Service,

Salvo.

*It would be useful to know what Country the Clown was from!
