hey, im new to editing photos and taking photos "properly" before i never really thought about what I was doing but lately i discovered the more i think about it the more i enjoy it, quite a few of my first few photos involve the sky :D.

my works are still very bad, hope that u guys can show me out the badness of the pics 'coz i really have no experiences in photography :-s

Hi everyone, can't wait to check out the photos here, but I have two questions.

1) Any suggestions for good groups where I can post un-edited photos of sky and nature?

2) Do "gimped" photos count on being eligible for entry? :)

One of the most useful but often overlooked Photoshop filters is "Unsharp Mask". Very handy for adding extra detail to an image. Duplicate the image layer and apply the filter to the new layer(experiment with different settings) Then reduce the new layers transparancy a little for a more subtle effect.
