Hello!

If you don't mind, would any of you please consider voting for me in the Selby Contest? I've entered my home, which features a lot of my hand painted furniture, cabinets, and other hand-made art and decorations, which I have posted to this group. If can win the contest, or even make it to the next phase, it would be tremendous exposure for my work and hopefully bring in some new much-needed jobs.

Anyway, the first round ends on September 15th. This round is really just a popularity contest, purely counting votes. They will take the top 50 entries to the second / final round. At the moment I am right on the borderline of making it into that final round, and I could really use a few extra votes to help push me into that top bracket.

Voting is very simple, takes less than a minute. Because they monitor the competition to make sure each person only votes for each entry once, they do require you to register. There are two options to register. The first is with facebook or similar account, a couple of clicks and you are done. The second way is by simply using your email. To do that, they will want your name, email address, and a password. They will then send you a verification email. Open that, click on the link, and Waala! All done! Takes longer to read and write all of this than to actually do it. The only other item to note with the email registration process, is to look for the little box asking whether you want to receive promotional email from CB2. Assuming you don't want any extra email, just make sure that box is NOT checked.

Long explanation for a simple process.

Hi! I am trying to get away frm mauve walls, drapes, etc,,, it was a safe color, Currently redecoration my kitchen with pumkin cabinets, sage walls and sunflower accents. In fact, all rooms in this very small 2 BR house will be painted any color but mauve. I'm hoping to learn from your members and get rid of that little scary feeling.

Designing and building my Tuscan kitchen now. I am also redecorating all the rooms in ny 2 BR house. I live with two boxers and a python, none of which have a say in paint colors, sofa covers, drapes etc... At times it seems over whelming doing this alone..

The Shift Home is a community-designed green, affordable home located in Saskatoon, Canada, with a focus of engaging the green community in an affordable home project. One of our main goals for the Shift Home is to draw on the strengths and experience of a wider community in order to design a home that can meet the needs of a wide variety of homeowners. In this way we seek to define our community by collectively designing local infrastructure.
