Hey guys,

I will be hosting a workshop, and have invited my good friend and talented photographer Dylan Goldby as a guest speaker/co-host.

This workshop will cover all the information needed to import your photos to your computer, utilize the powerful tools in LR4 to finalize your vision, and export/publish your photos in the places needed.

This workshop will be for photographers of all types, from enthusiasts to beginners to professionals alike. I will even be dedicating an alotted amount of time to using LR4 to organize an efficient means of handling your images shot with film as opposed to digital (if applicable to anyone in the crowd that is).

Hey gang

Firstly sorry this is so late ... I've been snowed under with Masters study.

Groove Challenges regular prize package is a 50,000 gift voucher at a camera store in Namdaemun and your photo published in the prestigious "Groove Magazine"

The current challenge is as follows:

Challenge: Buddha's BIrthday

Details: The Buddha's Birthday celebrations are one of Korea's biggest annual events Get out there and show the amazingness of this festival. The shot should be uniquely Korean with a "face" theme. Interpretation of the challenge is up to the photographer. Photos from 2013 are preferred, but older photos are welcome. Photographers are welcome to submit up to 5 photos.

Photo Ideas: The Buddha's Birthday parade is coming very soon. Head to Jongno for the day and photograph the celebrations. At night there's a beautiful lantern parade. For those outside Seoul, show how a local temple is dressing up for the big event. Usually there are lots of lights and lanterns.

Deadline: May 31

Submit your photos to this thread and a winner will be picked on May 31. I'll contact the winner on the same day and I need a maximum resolution version of that shot (for print). If you have a high-res shot in flickr, you can just allow me to download it, or you are welcome to email it to me.

Caption: Include location, date, camera settings (exif) with your photo submission.

Caveats: If the winner cannot be contacted or doesn't have a sufficiently high quality version of their photo, we reserve the right to choose another photo. Remember that this competition is in the spirit of fun - but we also have deadlines to follow! In the event that there are no submissions, or submissions are below "publishing" quality, SPC admins reserve the right to publish a replacement photograph of their choosing.

Any questions can also be added to this thread, but general discussion about challenges (etc) can perhaps be posted in a unique thread to keep this one clean.
