"World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development
May 21"

As part of the ‘Do One Thing For Diversity and Inclusion’ 2012 campaign, the UNESCO Centre of Florence in partnership with the UN Alliance of Civilizations and all the partners of the campaign are launching a video or photo contests to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.

Join the campaign and send us your videos or photos!

Subject: What does “Diversity” mean to you? Why does diversity matter to you? Tell us your personal vision.
The videos can be in every language ( but, in the case you should record in other languages than English, French, Italian or Spanish, we kindly ask you to provide subtitles in the above mentioned languages), or even recorded without audio soundtrack .The videos must be original and unpublished and they must not have been posted previously on any web page. Music, video, or images whose copyrights or other rights are held by anyone other than the participant CANNOT be used. Be creative, but the subject must not be harassing or embarrassing.

Video Format: All entries must be in one of the following formats .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, or .MPG and be less than 100 MB in size.
Maximum length: 2 minutes
Submissions: Please submit your participation to: presidenza@centrounescofi.it
After submitted your application you’ll be invited to upload your video on a specific web page.
Mandatory: Each person appearing in your video/photos must sign a specific authorization to use the personal images invoices(together with their ID copy). The only accepted authorization form will be available as soon as you contact us by e-mail to present your intention to participate. Additionally, you must sign the consent form to use your material to be projected during our planned event and to be sent to our network. The videos will be broadcasted as a promotional tool for the World Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development Aperitivo event on June 6th, 2012 at GANZO.

Submission Deadline: Entries must be submitted by May 31st, 2012

Ok guys, 2 years later and I finally created something which I think explores some common ground between illustration and anthropology. El próximo 7 de abril a las 8 de la tarde se inaugura en el aula cultural de la CAM en Alicante (Caja del Mediterráneo) la exposición “Retratos del Corazón Maasai“. / Next coming 7th of April will take place an exhibition called "Portraits of Maasai's heart" in Alicante (Spain)

Yo, Miguel Candela, soy el afortunado autor del reportaje que fue realizado después de convivir cerca de 15 días con una tribu Masai. / I, Miguel Candela, was lucky enough to spend 15 days side by side with a Masai tribe in Kenya.

Para quienes estén interesados, la entrada a la exposición es gratuita. Se mostraran 52 fotografías y una presentación multimedia. / For those who might be interested to visit the exhibition, the entrace is free to everyone. Also, it will be showing 52 print photographs as well as a multimedia presentation.

Deseo de todo corazón que logren disfrutar de la exposición tanto o más como yo realizándola. / I really hope you enjoy my work as much as I did.
