KFC Mansard Roof 1977 to 1991

Does anyone remember the exact timeline for the KFC mansard-roof restaurants from 1977 to 1991?

The pre-1982 locations had shingled roofs on them, with candy stripes gracing the main (dine in) entrance and the drive-thru pickup window, but since '82 the mansard roof changed to ribbed panel siding without the majority of the stripes.

Cherokee, North Carolina, hands down! The food is always piping hot (too hot to eat at first) and everything is cooked properly, plus the service is usually good. Incredibly delicious!

Hi,

While the 1978 KFC logo appeared in printed material distributed in newspapers and whatnot (I know I did find that in a filmreel or two of the 1979 Oregonian newspaper), that typesetting didn't reach television until some point after the Colonel's December 1980 passing. Is this true?

Also, were there any 1978-81 KFCs that used the 1978 logo/typeface?
