Yes, as long as you can connect to the flash trigger with a PC cable, you should be fine. I've certainly used my 166B in the studio in this way.

There isn't a hot shoe but a PC synch. I can't say about wireless use I'm afraid.

Thanks, scanner was Epson v500.

Lubitel 166 has cold-shoe, not hot-shoe. You have to connect the flash/trigger to the camera via X-sync cord.

Thank you guys! That's a great help! Before I buy my first Lubitel I want to ask you and one more question. Can I use a wireless flash trigger on any of both 166u or 166b Lubitel's hot shoe? I want to use it with studio lighting. Thanks again.

Daniel Cane, great pictures! What scanner did you use?

Here are some examples, mostly from 166U...

www.flickr.com/photos/dcane/tags/lubitel35mm/

There's sometimes a bit of work in Photoshop to be done but it's cheaper and easier to get film and get them processed. Have fun! :)

You have the roll to film onto a spool (and back again); you have to cover the red window since 35mm does not have a paper backing, so you have to guess how far to roll the film for the next exposure. The whole point of using MF is the larger negative and if you want more exposures, use a 645 mask.

166U and 166B do... not sure about the older ones or the Lomography rip-off one.
Although you do need somewhere dark to unload the film.
