&lt;p&gt;You are correct. I have the 24-70, the 24-120, and the 14-24. All are great lenses.  You might want to try out the 24-120 though for weddings. Of course the 14-24 is fantastic for landscapes but wouldn't be so great for full coverage of a wedding event. That extra reach with the 24-120 might be usefull.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

&lt;p&gt;a have a d7000  now  but  am buying a  d600  soon,  I know  the  16  -  35  mm is a great  landscape  lens  but  a  do the  odd wedding  ect, so I was  thinking  if  I  bought  the  24 -  70 lens  I could  do weddings, landscapes  ect  all with  this  lens , what  is  your  thoughts  on this  ?&lt;/p&gt;</description>

&lt;p&gt;On my D700 when the battery is fully charged there is no visible vignetting. Vignetting gets prominent with battery drained out.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

Not a good one for shooting butterflies. Better to get micro 105/2.8. It provides a longer distance to you, especially in DX mode.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
