what are they going to do, but bitch and moan?? i wouldnt think that they could do anything to you, hire a lawyer and spend a lot of money, and then what?? i dont know what these people are worried about. a camera has never shot down an airplane, as far as i know. a camera is not a weapon of terror, that is what i would tell people.

I'm an airport nerd for sure! Here, in Rome, spotting locations are often very weird: Catching landing airplanes on 34L means stand on a 5 ft tall electricity cabinet right in front of a very busy road. People passing and watchin me are shocked, they often honk their horn, they are thinking "what the hell is doing that nerd?". Similar situations happen when I use my 6 ft stair to see over the fence.

This makes me proud of my hobby

I went out today and took some pictures at KPNS, then found that a corporate pilot saw me taking a picture as he was taxiing out, and complained to the front desk about me. I am going to start using release forms, and hopefully that will solve the issue of accidentally getting a picture of someone who doesn't want one of their plane, or themselves. This was the first time this has ever happened to me.
