Wax museums as learning tools

mharrsch posted a new topic:

I have loved wax museums since I visited the Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Vista California. Wax museums are a wonderful way to study fashion and transport yourself back through time to virtually "meet" someone from centuries ago. So far I have visited the Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Vista, California, Madame's Tussaud's Celebrity Encounters in Las Vegas, Nevada, the National Presidents Wax Museum in Keystone, South Dakota, the Royal London Wax Museum in Victoria, British Columbia, Cristus Gardens in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and the Great Blacks in Wax Museum in Baltimore Maryland. This March I am traveling to Rome, Italy and hope to tour a wax museum there. The literature I have read says that it includes sculptures of the Medici family as well as other famous Renaissance figures like Michelangelo and Boticelli.
