Related group - Created by Nature (What to do?!?)

Hello all you capturers of natural art!

Finding this group is slightly embarrassing for me, as it comes just a couple of weeks after I created one that is almost the same: Created by Nature. I'm a bit dumbfounded because I searched quite hard for existing groups relating to art created by animals and nature before concluding that I had to create my own. I don't know how I missed Art by Nature!

Anyway, now that I've created my group and started inviting pictures to it, I figure that it might as well stay and feed off whatever kind of symbiosis that can be established with similar groups like this one.

Fortunately I can find some small consolation in that there are a few differences between this group and mine, so my group is not completely redundant!

The main difference is that Created by Nature allows artistic manipulation of the images: only the photographic subject itself must be a non-human creation. (I haven't made any rules about frames/borders yet, but I more or less agree with the ones used in this group.) Another difference is that I've requested that flower photos not be posted, unless they are truly exceptional exemplars of natural art.

But apart from allowing manipulated images, I'm not feeling like my group has a whole lot of purpose given that this one is already so huge (though come to think of it, maybe being small is an attraction in itself). For the moment I'll continue to develop and maintain Created by Nature, but I'm open to suggestions about how it might be adjusted or linked to coexist more usefully with Art by Nature (for example, limiting it to manipulated images, or just the more difficult subcategories such as 'Animal Art').

And in the meantime I'll try not to poach too many pics from this group!

PS - Actually I can forgive myself for not finding this group. I just searched groups for "art nature" and this one didn't appear in the first five pages of results (I gave up after that). (It did however appear when I searched for "art by nature".) My group was on the third page. Go figure.

We take pride in keeping our photos as natural as possible, as we believe that art can be found in nature itself - without human interference.

Our only purpose is to compile a grand collection of beautiful, natural images, that everyone can enjoy and contribute to.

To keep our photo pool "pure," please make sure each photo you submit complies with the Group Rules as outlined on the main page (remember, when you joined the group, you also agreed to follow the rules!).

Most of all, please enjoy viewing our collection, and please feel free to share your own pieces of art found in nature.

Revised Rules - Frames/Borders

As some of you may have noticed, the rules regarding frames/borders have been revised.

From now on, frames will be allowed, as long as they meet the following criteria:

A) Frames/borders must consist of only one or two colors.

B) Frames/borders must be distinctly separate from the image (no fading or other "effects").

C) Frames/borders must not distract from the photo itself (the frame/border itself should be a plain, rectangular shape, simply used, as the art we want to see is that of nature, NOT of your frame/border-making computer skills).

Please follow these revised rules - I think you will find that they make our group open to many more people. However, please remember that ALL of the other rules still apply!
