A new group for white pictures

Hi,

I have created a new group for white-toned photos. Unlike this group, it is focused on the pure white tone, it is not about colour objects on a white background.

I think it makes a great complement to this group and invite those of you who are interested to come and join the "White is beautiful" group!

Are you guys aware of the colour temperature of light? Normal lightbulbs will produce a yellow tinge to your white background because they are a higher colour temp than sunlight which is "white".

To avoid having to use studio lighting which is adjusted to white I use window light, place your objects next to a window and overexpose the shot - the window helps to diffuse the light giving a nice even lighting effect.

Either I use white paper with a lamp in tha background or now I use the light-panel from a broken flat-screen which leads to very good results. Problem: small area for the object.

i use a piece of white poster board as well and normally take my pics in direct sunlight to make it whiter but then i use photoshop to brighten up the corners as well.

I use plain old computer paper as my background, (or a white wall), overexpose the shot, then use selective color in Photoshop to brighten up any darkened corners.
