What's your angle, buddy?

This group is for photos that demonstrate an angle or unique perspective clearly in the image & the flickr'rs who enjoy taking them.

Example shots are posted in the pool but feel free to spin the concept a bit.

The weirdo who thought up this group also co-hosts The Unharshed Mellow, an independent music podcast you might like.

Hello, everyone! I am a freelance photographer based in New York. I just started up a facebook and instagram and i am trying to get more likes as well as more exposure to my work. I do Portraiture, as well as food photography and nature photography.

www.facebook.com/KatelynLucePhotography

I am almost constantly on both accounts, and i also eventually return the same support that you give me.

I agree with you. The title of the group does lend itself to different interpretations. Really every photo has an angle to it literally, figuratively or both.

I think the good photos stand out from rest and are easier to spot if you're looking for "angular" shots. I have to say I don't like those groups that are governed too tightly. Everyone here enjoys taking pictures simple as that.

I recently got a notice that I got kicked out of the Canon 135L group. I don't think they had much of a discussion section though I rarely post replies anyhow. The only thing I can think of is they didn't like my photos that had to be approved by the moderator before they made the pool. Who knows? They could have at least told me what I did wrong.
Oh well Life Goes on.

Hi, I just visited your photostreams, and the first thing i feel like i should say is: filters don't make good photos, choose the subjects and composition wisely. sometimes it makes sense to edit the photo somehow, and i do that a lot, but that's usualy to enhace some quality, not to disguise some defect or to make something look like what it's not.

I don't agree at all. The vast majority of the pictures do have a certain angle to them and in most cases it's rather easy to point it out. Lots of pictures are taken from a special angle that motivates why the picture was made at all. Lots of pictures show some angle in the motif itself. Some pictures use the special effects you can get from using a wide-angle lens - that should count too. Some pictures are taken from a conventional angle and show no obvious angle in the motif but instead the pictures illustrates a concept with a certain 'angle' to it. Actually I find it hard to point out any picture here totally devoid of any angle or just 'plain generic'. Of course not eveyone can find all pictures equally interesting, but I think that most of the pictures I find here gives at least a somewhat interesting answer to the question 'what's your angle?'.
