The annual photography exhibition of the Heswall Photographic Society is to be held in the Visitors' Centre, Ness Botanic Gardens, Ness - from 1.00pm on 15th May to 12.00 noon on 22nd May.

Entry is free and there will be around 200 prints on display.

Why not drop in?

Wirral Lifestyle magazine

Hi everyone

I am the contents editor for Wirral Lifestyle magazine which is delivered to 10,000 homes in the area on a quarterly basis.

I'm also a keen photographer and have decided to introduce a photography section to our magazine.

What I will be looking for is iconic images of the Wirral in each edition so am looking for the best images of the area.

I have no budget for this, it is just a chance for photographers to showcase their work in glossy print and obviously you will receive a credit.

If you are interested please email me your best photos - they must be about 1M in size - with your name and a few details about the picture. Also send your address so that I can post you a copy of the magazine.

I am hoping that this could lead to a competition next year to reward the best pictures in some way.

This group did have a few meet ups a year or two ago that went well, not entirely sure why the group became so quiet. Might have been coming in to the winter months and work commitments ( I've personally not checked the group for a long while) think I could maybe get a couple of people involved.

Now summer is approaching (lighter nights) we should sort something out.

Ideas for where / what to shoot and dates?

I'd be more than happy to meet up, since starting my new hobby I have noticed that most of my friends don't particularly care about photography and that's all I want to talk about! It would be nice to chat with a like minded individual.

Would have to schedule it around work though!

Feel free to check out my photostream as you might look at some of it and think "Actually, I don't want to be in the same room as this nutter!"
