Tips on shooting white apparel

Hi all,

I'm a beginner/intermediate photographer and I've been asked to shoot my friend's "White hot" party tonight (you know, where everyone wears white). I've got a Canon t2i, a 50mm 1.4 lens and a flash with a diffuser. I know white apparel can be tricky to shoot, without a flash and with a flash. Does anyone have any tips? Does anyone use their custom white balance? What other settings have you tried that work? I appreciate the feedback!

Snow has got to be the easiest but here is blue snow...colourcast blue not true blue snow which can be found in icebergs and caves. White is not a colour it is a lack of colour...or all colours...not sure.

These 2 blondes are not pearl...well i do see a stab at white in the top here but its obvious white isn't dominating

Whereas this i like for pearl cause its Damsels and she's cute....sometimes its who ya know. What differs between dogs and this is texture, i guess.

This is a bit warming cast yellow tone and good...bit of yellow snow. Watch out where the huskys go...and don't u eat that yellow snow

This is very good too cause Blackstar is a great Cartel contributer and cats eats rats and i hates rats....i think she is cute also.

Who the hay Orton is i dunno but this is one of my favs posted so far

Dear Tulips...not cast maybe shaded or needs more bright but still white. Tulips has 3 zillion snow shots i know of and snow is so easy maybe we should make snow illegal in group?

Stone you know your white is white...ask me this before morning coffee urgggg
