My Desk

New desk for inspiration.

I have been blogging regularly for 6 years, and I recently decided it was time to splurge on a new desk. Money certainly doesn't buy happiness, but money spent wisely, on a worthy object, can go far towards making you happier, healthier, more helpful, more productive. This is why my new desk is such a spring of joy for me. I'm hoping it will ensure at least 6 more years of blogging.

Need Help Finding A Shorter Desk.

Hey everyone,

I've been looking for a shorter desk for about a year now. I guess a normal height for a desk is around 30 inches high which is too tall for me. Even adjusting my chair to the maximum height doesn't help because my feet don't quite touch the floor. I've even tried a foot stool but it's not too comfortable. I'm not even THAT short, I'm 5'2" which is average (I guess). I work as a graphic artist which means I'm at my desk a lot and the desk I have right now really isn't a desk but a table. It's around 29" high which is still pretty uncomfortable to use. In fact, I'm starting to get achy wrists from this setup. >.<

I'm looking for a desk that would be around 26" or 27" high. I know that seems extremely short but I work with a Cintiq Tablet and need to be able to use it comfortably. I'd prefer a flat table-like desk. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hey all, my name is Matthew Menze, I am a 19 year old college student going for a dual major of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.

This desk started as a day project to make use of an old door I had laying around, but now has been incorporated into my personal man cave.

The desk consists of a door covered in linoleum left over from a bathroom, wooden sides I carpeted, and steel trim to cover finish off the corners. The light bar and speakers are all powered by an old server PSU that has been modified so all the 12 volt outputs are tied together.

Anyways, figured I would share my setup/desk, thanks,
