have tried it on a few occasions, if you mean light painting as in illuminating something at night the torch you use it really important, the more powerful the better. (one of these is best www.maglite-torches.co.uk/maglite-4-d-cell-black-65-p.asp ) you want to make sure you use a torch that doesnt have a blue or red coloured bulb because this will ruin the picture most of the time (even with WB alterations)
