I noticed there is no national level Flickr group for UK/GB wargames, wargamers and wargames shows.

I have set up a group and put up about 190 of my shots to get the group going. Anything to do with wargaming in the UK/GB is acceptable and I am happy for people to post discussion subjects, post events and invitations or 'bring and buy' items.

I have visited many and all offered something, so rather than list them as this question risks the thread becoming a "post a list of all the places you have been contest "all I will confirm the one place I would not recommend.....

..........the Dominican Republic, there is nothing specific there, lovely jungle etc but you can grab that at one of the other locations. The exception to this is if you are into shooting people, they are very fiendly and colourful........but as I do not do people I found it the very opposite of a target rich environment.

Just about anywhere, from a man repairing a street lamp, your back garden and then just keep radiating outwards until your feet get wet :)

Personally I love the Scottish Highlands and Cornwall, but then I do not shoot people as rule.

It really does not matter diddly squat when make you procure. The important bit is when you press that button, and the preparation before that. If you do not get that right, then they all produce suboptimal output with equal proficency.......

Sony Alpha series have greeeat sensors... many nikon have sony sensors, you can buy a A700 for 450 euros!!!
Please, photo world is not only for canon or nikon, there are sony, olympus, pentax... great cameras also!!
