Sorry should have said there are a few camera clubs too. Some have more outings than others, take a look at their syllabus. I find Pittwater nice and small therefore you don't get lost in a crowd so you get individual feedback which is really helpful.

Calling Sydney light painters... if you've thought of using electroluminescent wire for shots like these...

A mate moving overseas is selling several reels, in red, green and yellow. Each reel is around 50-100 metres and is priced at a dollar a metre, using "buy it now".

If you are into or want to shoot Seascapes around the Sydney area my good mate John Armyatge has taken the time to create a group when photographers from all walks of life can meet up for a shoot and swap knowledge and stories @ breakfast afterwards it has only been set up for a short time but has already been a great sucess.
So join the group and hopefully see you out shooting soon.

Iansand: I'm glad to know that other shots are also taken!

What about skateboard shots? Graffiti shots? Abstracts? Taking a walk around Manly to do street photography? Anyone up for something like that?

NinianLif Of course there are. Surfing shots. Sailing shots. wildlife shots (have a walk around Narrabeen Lake and Warriewood Wetlands). Or take a stroll along any part of the Coastal Walking Track. Climb Bangalley Head.
