If you post anything not marked private, "They" can take it. I don't post many pics of my kids to groups. I have lots on my stream, but I try not to post anything too tempting to the pervs. But let's face it, if there is a perv about, it's all tempting. When I see my kid in a bathtub, I don't recognize the pedophile elements to the moment. I have had to train myself to think of that before I take a pic. I have resisted making all my pics globally protected, but I guess if any one picture of my kid starts taking too many hits, too quickly, I would pull it. (that's kind of a red flag, if your photostream is normally slow)

Hi, I just thought I would give a thumbs up on something that happened to me. Someone stole a bunch of my pictures of my daughter and posted them as his own saying that she was his step daughter. He then posted them for sexual comments saying he was doing her and wondering who else would like to. He also had pictures of very little girls from babys and up with this same kind of content. Thank god someone who knew who's pictures they were contacted us and also reported him . We reported him and he has been removed from flickr. But I see that your pictures can be saved by anyone out there. Just a suggestion, click on your name where it says (Signed in as ) , then go to the privacy and permissions part there, change the setting where it says who can download your pictures and who can print your photo's to only you, or family and friends only. that way others can not take your photo's and if they find a way then only a very small copy can be saved but usually they can't even get that. I would hate to see some sick pervert do to you what he did to us. Take care

i guess the best way to stop this is not to post, there are some out there that will use photos in this manor, and I agree with stacy in wonderland, its the world we live in, just ensure that the photos you take are safe enough to upload.
My God daughter is on my profile now, but its with her families permission. I think its aceptable, and try not to stress too much, but I understand everyones concerns

Thanks for the caution, Gary. This is a really important thing to consider. I read an article in Popular Photography magazine recently about this issue. Having nephews and nieces myself--with a set of pictures just for them-- scares the hell out of me when I post photos of them.
