Photowalk at Disney California Adventure

I will be leading a photowalk at Disney California Adventure on December 1. It is the weekend after Thanksgiving weekend so the Christmas decorations wlll be up but the crowds will be manageable. All levels of photographers are welcome. You don't need a fancy camera either. iPhones, point and shoot and DSLRs are all welcome. This is not a workshop but I am sure we will learn from each other. Anyone is welcome so tell your friends. The only requirement is you RSVP (either here or by e-mail) so I know how many people to expect.

After the walk we will have lunch together to talk about the experience.

NOTE: You will need to provide your own admission to the park. If you need to purchase admission tickets, I recommend you do it in advance since lines for tickets can be long.

I'm still bitter that Eisner did not have the guts to make a EPCOT West and instead gave us the patchwork of DCA. At least they are finally putting some serious money into DCA, it's needed work for a long while. I'm not a fan of Cars Land, but then I'm not a fan of Tom Sawyer's Island changing to "Pirates".

I had not not been to Disneyland in a very, very long time so I had little memory of it. Personally, I just considered DCA "more Disneyland" it was tough for me to really consider it a completely different park. Not sure I would have been as happy with my trip if I had only gone to DCA and not Disneyland as well.

For the price difference between a single park and a hopper ticket, it is imho well worth experiencing the "entire park".

Fantasmic is far better than World of Color. Maybe it's the way they corral everyone around with messing with getting a fast pass just to get "priority seating" which, imo, doesn't really help. I would have preferred to have stayed in the back near Aeriel's Stage opposed to being down in front.

I am looking forward to Radiator Springs.

I was there mid October 2010 and Cars Land was well under construction and looks to be huge. They were also well under way in building a Little Mermaid attraction as well.

World of Color was amazing, I'm very happy that I got to see it. I cannot compare it to Fantasmic as I have not seen that one.

Ok some of the changes that Disney has talked about has happened. We can see were more of them are going so what do you all think.
I think what they are doing is good. I am sad though just because more people are coming into the park so there are more lines :(

I have to vote for Disneyland. In terms of DCA, there are rides I really like and rides I like more than some in Disneyland. But, the problem with DCA is the layout of the park and the lack of cohesion. I agree with mstickmanp that it would be a better question to ask after the renovations happen...there'll be more connections between the areas, better flow, and, hopefully, more of the intimacy that you get with Disneyland.
