A few years back I discovered the beauty of the Texas Bluebonnets. I am planning next year 2014 to return for some great photos to add to your group until then I will just soak in the ones you have posted.

Hey photography friends, I have a last minute special request. I need really good photos of kids, family, pets etc taken in a field of bluebonnets for a Dallas morning talk show segment that I'm going to be on this Thursday. If you don't mind please send me your best bluebonnet pics to Wade(at)WadeGriffithPhotography(dot)com Specs: 72 dpi, RGB, big enough for TV. Thanks!

I've read about Ennis and I've been to the Inn on the River in Glen Rose. Hopefully they will bloom a little early this year......... but I'm not counting on it.

I don't live around there any more but used to and it seems just a little too early. North Texas tends to get them best around the end of March / beginning of April. If you are in Carrollton, Ennis is not that far away either and it is gorgeous down there during the bluebonnet season.

If you are confined to the week of the 18th, you may want to drive down south a little. Maybe Glen Rose or even further south. They are starting to pop up in Brenham / Navasota now.

Hill Country around Fredrichsberg is always a great place to visit. I have not been there this year but hear that they are in bloom now. Drive around Llano and Enchanted Rock Park is always pretty in the spring time. I did drive from Brenham to Navasota last week and they were gorgeous. I am heading out to Independence today where I hear bluebonnets are at its peak this weekend, but I would imagine Hill Country will still be better. Have fun!

I'm seeing a little more bluebonnets around Austin than I did last year but, still not the ideal patch for our annual portraits. I'm willing to drive out of Austin up to 2-3 hours for an excellent patch. Anyone mind sharing locations? Thanks in advance!
